WACO, Texas (Oct. 24, 2016) - The LIU Post football team has moved up three spots to No. 11 in this week's edition of the American Football Coaches Association Division II Top-25 Poll, released Monday.
The Pioneers collected 432 points to earn its highest in-season ranking in program history since 2002. That year, the green and gold were slotted at No. 10 in the AFCA tally.
Reigning national champion Northwest Missouri State continued to top the poll, amassing 750 points and 30 first-place votes. Grand Valley State held at No. 2 with 717 points. Shepherd (692 points), Sioux Falls (649 points) and Harding (614 points) rounded out the Top-5.
LIU Post is one of only eight remaining undefeated teams in Division II this season. The Pioneers won a 22-7 decision over American International last Saturday (Oct. 22) to improve to 8-0 on the year.
