CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 24, 2016) - The East Coast Conference awarded its weekly volleyball honors Monday, and LIU Post sophomore outside hitter
Rachel Londot (Utica, Ohio) was recognized as the league's player of the week.
Londot led the Pioneers to a 2-1 week, after slamming down a team-high 42 kills on a .398 hitting percentage. She posted double-doubles against Bridgeport (16 kills, 17 digs) last Tuesday and Southern New Hampshire (10 kills, 11 digs) on Saturday, before recording another 16-kill performance at Saint Rose over the weekend.
Londot has reached double figures in kills in six of her last seven matches. Additionally, she has hit at a team-leading .281 clip, while totaling 85 digs and 11 service aces in that span.
Londot and her LIU Post side return to the court Tuesday (Oct. 25), when they travel to Rockville Centre for a 6 p.m. opening serve at ECC rival Molloy College.
