My time here at LIU Post has been honestly a dream.
It was always my passion to pursue an education on the East Coast, while also achieving my dream of becoming a collegiate volleyball player.
I was accepted into a great school that it is known for its academics and athletics. Being a transfer student from a state university in California to coming to a private university in New York has been an adjustment. The classes here are very enhancing for my career goals on becoming a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery.
I've adjusted well and this transition has also helped me mature as a young woman, when it comes to determining what kind of person I want to be and what I want to do in the future.
Along with the school helping me grow as a person, it has increased my knowledge of the game of volleyball tremendously. Not only am I able to use my skills to help my team be successful, but I am now able to help younger people get interested in the different fundamentals and aspects of volleyball.
My time here at LIU Post has been such a great experience. I am going to miss this environment of positivity and good vibes. The support system I've had here is truly amazing. The bonds I've made are incredible.
I made amazing bonds with my teammates and friendships that will last a lifetime. Not only did I develop bonds with my teammates, but I developed bonds with the other coaches and student-athletes.
LIU Post was such a welcoming place when I came here that I'm glad that I decided to finish my last two years as a student-athlete here.
It is sad that my time here as a student-athlete has come to an end, but I believe this school and this team have shaped me into such a better athlete, student and person.
I am honored to have been a part of Pioneer Nation.
