SELDEN, N.Y. (Nov. 7, 2016) - The LIU Post equestrian team received its third-consecutive high point ribbon on Sunday at the New York University/Princeton University Show, hosted at the Olde Towne Equestrian Center in Selden.
Sophomore
Jessica Sulkers (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) finished as the high point rider, after winning her class in both the open flat and open fences.
Sophomore
Grace Tice (Simsbury, Conn.) and freshman
Jillian Lento (East Patchogue, N.Y.) tied for reserve high point honors. Tice placed first in the open flat and second in the open fences, while Lento was first in the novice flat and second in the novice fences.
Junior
Heather Grova (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) came in first in the intermediate fences and fourth in the intermediate flat. Her efforts led to regional bids in both events.
Junior
Mallory Slack (East Islip, N.Y.) rode to a first-place ribbon in the intermediate flat. Freshmen
Alex Daskam (Southbury, Conn.) and
Nicolette Signorelli (Bellmore, N.Y.) both bested their opposition in the novice flat.
Junior
Monica Moscoso (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) and freshman
Kate Galvin (Southington, Conn.) each won their class in the novice fences. Galvin also placed third in the novice flat.
Senior
Alex Rand (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and sophomore
Chloe Hoerner (Brightwaters, N.Y.) finished second in the open fences and intermediate fences, respectively. Freshman
Nicole Sinram (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) contributed a second-place showing in the novice flat.
Juniors
Sara Peterson (Huntington, N.Y.) and
Alyssa Rehm (Kings Park, N.Y.) and freshman
Gianna Perry (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) all had third-place rides in the walk-trot-canter. Junior
Shannon Wright (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was third in the walk-trot.

Brooke Chasin and the Pioneers wrap up the fall portion of their 2016-17 season next Sunday (Nov. 13), when they host their home show at the North Shore Equestrian Center in Brookville.
