WACO, Texas (Dec. 7, 2016) - After leading the Northeast-10 Conference in nearly every passing category in 2016, LIU Post senior quarterback
Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) was honored Wednesday as an American Football Coaches Association Second Team All-American.
Kidd paced the NE-10 in completions (248), completion percentage (.653), passing yards (2,825), passing yards per game (256.8) and passing touchdowns (28) this season. His efforts led the Pioneers to their second Northeast-10 Conference Championship and NCAA Division II Tournament berth in the last three seasons.
Kidd, a two-time All-NE-10 first-team selection, was named the NE-10 Most Valuable Player, after completing 248-of-380 passes for 2,825 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also ran for 340 yards and four scores in 11 games.
In addition to his on-field success, Kidd was recognized to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, which honors student-athletes for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
