Women's Swimming Finishes Eighth at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Mar. 12, 2016) 
- On Saturday, the LIU Post women's swimming team rounded out competition at the 2016 NCAA Division II Championships, earning an eighth-place finish at the meet.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, seniors Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom)Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) and sophomore Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) broke a school record, posting a consolation-winning time of 3:22.89.

Kwok also swam in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the pad at 2:01.16. That mark tied for second place in the consolation finals and 10th overall.

In addition, Bendfeldt clocked a 51.46 in the 100-yard freestyle, while Jones raced to a 2:04.23 in the 200-back.
