CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 18, 2016) - LIU Post softball freshman Hannah Olshevski (Robbinsville, N.J.) has been named the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

It is the third time this season that Olshevski has earned recognition from the conference. She was awarded pitcher of the week honors on Mar. 14, and received the nod as the ECC Rookie of the Week on Mar. 28.

Olshevski compiled a 3-0 record last week with an impressive 0.33 earned-run average. She allowed just one earned run in 21.0 innings pitched and limited opposing hitters to a .114 batting average.

Olshevski led off the week last Thursday (Apr. 14) with seven frames of three-hit ball in a 3-2 win over Molloy College. She then wrapped it up with a 4-0 complete-game shutout of New York Institute of Technology on Sunday (Apr. 17).

In only her rookie season, Olshevski currently leads the ECC in wins (15), while ranking second in ERA (.144) and batting average against (.199). Additionally, the Robbinsville native has yielded no more than three hits over her last three starts.

Olshevski and the Pioneers are back in action Tuesday (Apr. 19), when they square off with Molloy College in an ECC doubleheader in Rockville Centre. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
