Women's Tennis Tops Daemen in Regular-Season Finale
Amherst, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's tennis team clinched the no. 2 seed in the East Coast Conference Championship with a 6-3 victory over Daemen College on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers (8-2, 6-1 ECC) won all three doubles matches in the contest. In the No. 3
Christina Jud and Megan Byrne pulled out an 8-2 win against Jess Robins and Mackenzie Robbins.
Then, in first doubles,
Stanislava Klymova and
Shanice Arthur beat Larissa Yuen and Giovanna Paschoalin, 8-5.
Morgan Park of singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 win over
Isabelle Bifulco at the No. 6 position. Robins took down Byrnes to pull within one of the Pioneers (3-2). Arthur went the distance in a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 victory against Paschoalin at second singles.
In No. 4 singles, Gretchen Ringler defeated Jud in straight sets (6-4, 6-3), to close the hosts' deficit to 4-3. With a chance to clinch the victory,
Lara Scholtze took down Yuen 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 to secure home court advantage and the 6-3 win over the Wildcats.

Walter Giacometti and his LIU Post squad have now clinched the No. 2 seed in the East Coast Conference Championship, which will begin next Friday (Oct. 27) at the Queens College Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
