Women's Basketball Selected Sixth in ECC Preseason Poll
West Babylon, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's basketball team finished sixth in the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Preseason Poll, which was released by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Last season the Pioneers posted an 11-17 overall record and a 10-9 conference mark missing out on a playoff berth. 10th-year head coach

St. Thomas Aquinas, who advanced to the semifinals of the ECC Championship, was chosen to finish first, collecting 88 points and five first-place votes. NYIT slotted in at #2 with 78 points, tied with Roberts Wesleyan, who finished the year 11-7 in the conference. The Pioneers trail defending ECC Regular Season Championship Queens who picked up two first-place votes.

LIU Post kicks off its season on Saturday, November 11, when they travel to Old Westbury, N.Y. for the ECC/NE-10 Challenge where they will play the Adelphi University at 3:30 p.m. The Pioneers open their ECC campaign at home against Bridgeport on Wednesday, December 6. Tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m.
