Easton, Mass| Senior Sasha Patterson netted a team-high 18 points, but the LIU Post women's basketball team couldn't keep pace with a Stonehill College that shot 52 percent and handed the Pioneers a 99-69 defeat away on Saturday afternoon.

- Stonehill opened the contest connecting on nearly 60 percent of their shots and the Skyhawks' 13-4 run just before the end of the first quarter solidified a double-digit Pioneers deficit.
How it Happened
- Mikaiya Moore opened the Pioneers' scoring with a layup but the Skyhawks responded with three triples to pull ahead 17-6 three minutes into the game. The hosts connected on 60 percent and led by 16, 35-19, at the first break
- A swarming Skyhawks defense throughout the contest limited any clean looks for the Pioneers and they increased their lead until the final buzzer.
- Led by Asia Turner's nine points in the first quarter followed by four from Sasha Patterson, the Pioneers found some momentum in the second quarter, but their 53 percent shooting (7-13) couldn't keep pace with Stonehill's 60 percent shooting (12-20) with six treys.
