Bloomfield, NJ| Behind Sasha Patterson's career-high 19 points and Taylah Hudson's 12-point, 10-rebound double-double, the LIU Post women's basketball team picked up a non-conference 74-62 victory of Bloomfield College on Wednesday afternoon.

Turning Point
• The Pioneers shot 9-for-15 in the second quarter with Patterson and
Kylie Garrett leading the charge with four points each as LIU Post outscored the Bears 20-11 in the period to build a five-point lead headed into the break.
How it Happened
• Bloomfield raced out to a nine-point lead, 16-7, just over five minutes into the first, but the Pioneers cut the deficit to one (21-20) at the closing seconds, sparked by a pair of trifectas from Garrett
• The second stanza was tightly contested with three ties and three lead changes and neither team up by more than five points with an Asia Turner layup with 33 second left giving the visitors a 40-35 lead at the intermission.
• But the Pioneers took control of the game with a strong third quarter,
Shannon Doyle's trifecta jump started a 12-4 and the Pioneers built a 52-39 lead at the midway point of the half. LIU Post continued to keep its foot on the gas as it jumped out to another double-digit lead, but a pair of Bloomfield free throws cut the Bears deficit 55-46 at the end of the period.
• The Pioneers thwarted any hope for a comeback in the fourth with Patterson scoring 11 points on a perfect 4-of-4 from the field to keep the lead in double-digits until the final buzzer.
For the Pioneers
• Sasha Patterson shot a career-best 8-of-10 from the field and tallied a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds – game highs in both – to tally her fourth double-double of the year.
• Taylah Hudson logged her first double-double of her career with 12 points and 10 rebounds. She went 5-of-8 from the charity stripe and dished out four assists.

Shannon Doyle scored 14 points, shooting 5-of-9 from the field, and grabbing four rebounds.
• Kylie Garret rounded out the four in double figures with 16 points off the bench, shooting an efficient 4-of-7 from behind the arc.
Inside the Box Score
• LIU Post won the rebounding battle by a 39-33 margin. The Pioneers also finished at a 49.1 percent (27-55) connect rate and held the Bears to just 41 percent (25-61) shooting.
• The Pioneers dished out 16 assists compare to the Bears' 10.
