Amherst, NY | Senior Danielle Valenza led all players with 16 kills as the LIU Post women's volleyball team earned its second 3-0 victory over Daemen College this season in Amherst, NY on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Pioneers improve to 26-4 on the year and 10-2 in ECC play, as the Wildcats slip to 11-14 (7-5).

A 6-1 run by Daemen brought the set to within four points (22-18) but LIU Post fended the Wildcats off and earned a 25-20 to go up 2-0 in the match.

In the third, the Wildcats jumped out to a 9-5 lead before late building an 18-13 advantage. A 6-0 run from the guests gave LIU Post a one-point lead (19-18), before earning the final two points of the match to clinch the 3-0 sweep.

Aside from Valenza's 16 kills, Kristin Bendy contributed to eight kills for the Pioneers.
