INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After capturing its third-straight East Coast Conference title, the LIU Post men's soccer team received the No. 1 seed in the East Region of the 2017 NCAA Division II Championship on Monday night.

The Pioneers, who are one of the three remaining unbeaten teams in Division II, earn a first-round bye and will host the winner of the first-round game between fourth-seeded Southern Conn. St. and fifth-seeded ECC foe University of District of Columbia on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 1 p.m.

LIU Post faced Southern Conn. State on Sept. 9, where the side took a 2-1 win over the Owls.
Meanwhile, LIU Post has had quite a few recent run-ins with UDC. Over the last four weeks, the Pioneers are 2-0 against the Firebirds. One of those victories came in the ECC Championship final on Friday Nov. 3.
