Women's Bowling Earns Third-Place Finish at EIBC Championship

MANALAPAN, N.J. (Feb. 5, 2017)
- The LIU Post women's bowling team placed third Saturday at the Eastern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Championship in Manalapan.

Senior Stefania Cuomo (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was tabbed as the All Events Champion, after amassing a total pinfall of 1,105 in singles and doubles competition.

In doubles, Cuomo and freshman Alexis Kosakavich (Plainview, N.Y.) came in second out of 11 pairs with a 1,047 total pinfall.

Meanwhile, in singles, freshman Brielle Spillett (Yaphank, N.Y.) bowled a 558 series, which was good for a second-place finish.

Spillett also led the green and gold to a second-place showing in the Baker format. She struck on nine of her 17 shots and had no open frames.

Head Coach Edward Raven and the Pioneers return to action next Saturday (Feb. 11), when they travel to West Babylon, N.Y. for the Suffolk County Community College Invitational.
