CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar. 28, 2017) - After hitting a stunning .524 last week, sophomore catcher
Julia Seader (Piscataway, N.J.) of the LIU Post softball team was recognized as the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
It is the second time this season that Seader is receiving this honor. She was previously named the ECC Player of the Week on Mar. 6.
In addition to batting at a .524 clip, Seader hit two homers and drove in five RBIs, while scoring seven runs. She also boasted a 1.000 slugging and .545 on-base percentage over a six-game span.
Seader led off the week last Monday (Mar. 20) with an impressive 5-for-8 showing in a split against New Haven. That effort included a pair of triples in the latter contest of the doubleheader.
Then, on Sunday (Mar. 26), Seader launched a pair of home runs and contributed four RBIs, as part of a 4-for-7 day, versus Wilmington.
Seader and the Pioneers are back in action Thursday (Mar. 30), when they face Southern Connecticut State University in a non-conference twinbill at 2 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
