AUSTIN, Texas (Apr. 5, 2017) - After excelling both on the field and in the classroom, LIU Post football senior quarterback
Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) was selected to the 2017 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday.
Kidd, who owns a 3.35 cumulative grade-point average in International Studies, helped the Pioneers to their best finish in program history in 2016.
In 11 games, Kidd led the Northeast-10 Conference in completion percentage (65.3), passing yards (2,825), passing yards per game (256.8) and passing touchdowns (28), en route to being named the league's Most Valuable Player.
He was also recognized to the AFCA All-America and Football Gazette All-Super Region I Second Team, while garnering CoSIDA Academic All-District and NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction.
In 2016, the Pioneers compiled a program-best 12-1 record and won their second Northeast-10 Conference title in three years. Additionally, the green and gold reached the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship.
