FULL REGIONAL RANKINGS

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Following an appearance in the 2018 NCAA Division II Championship, the LIU Post women's basketball team earned a spot in the Division II Sports Information Directors of America preseason regional poll as announced Monday, Oct. 29.
 
The Pioneers posted a 22-8 record last season and captured the East Coast Conference regular season title. The 22 victories were the third most in the program's history, three shy of the record of 25 set during the 1982-83 season.
 
The ECC tabbed head coach Deidre Moore as the league's Coach of the Year after the Pioneers doubled their win total from the 2016-17 season. Graduate student Sasha Patterson was outstanding all year, earning Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-East Region recognition after averaging 16.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
 
The Green and Gold open the 2018-19 season at Adelphi University when it takes on Pace University in the ECC/Northeast-10 Conference crossover event on Saturday, Nov. 10.
