CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association announced LIU Post men's soccer forward Lukas Ostermann as the East Region's Player of the Year during the release of the all-region teams on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
 
Ostermann adds another Player of the Year accolade to his resume after earning East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year recognition earlier this season. The graduate student also nabbed first-team all-East Region recognition during the release.
 
Joining Ostermann on the all-region squad is senior goalkeeper Oliver Hessner Hansen and senior midfielder Vittorio Argeri who both garnered second-team recognition.
 
One of the top offensive threats in the country, Ostermann leads LIU Post with 23 goals and six assists for 52 points, ranking second in Division II in both categories. Argeri has come back in a big way after missing time due to injury earlier this season, scoring two goals and adding an assist during the Pioneer postseason run. Another big part of the run has been the outstanding play of Hessner Hansen who has helped LIU Post to four-consecutive shutouts.
 
The trio of all-region players will look to lead the Pioneers to an East Region championship against Adelphi University on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Pioneer Soccer Park.
