FULL UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-EAST REGION TEAM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Four members of the LIU Post women's soccer team earned postseason recognition on Monday when the United Soccer Coaches Association named them to the All-East Region teams during the national announcement.

Senior Hillevi Eklow, junior Gabrielle Clark, and sophomore Samantha Gordon all earned first team accolades, while junior Julia Duffy garnered second team honors.

Eklow continued to compiled postseason honors with the first team selection after repeating as the East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year earlier this season. The senior goalkeeper ranked second in the conference with a 0.78 goals-against average, while also finishing third with an .823 save percentage. During her 21 starts, she posted nine shutouts with a 13-4-4 overall record.

In front of Eklow, Clark and Gordon helped lead a defensive unit that allowed 0.82 goals per game, including 10 total shutouts. The defense held opponents to under nine shot attempts per game. On the offensive end, the duo combined for nine goals and two assists, including one game-winning goal.

Duffy rounds out the honorees after leading the Pioneers with 14 goals and 30 points. The junior forward tallied two multi-goal games this season, finding the back of the net twice at Assumption and twice during a win against top-seeded Franklin Pierce in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
