Ja'Lyn Armstrong and banked in a layup from the left block with 7:43 remaining in the second stanza to reach the 1,000-point plateau, becoming the 20th Pioneer to reach the mark. The Brooklyn native reached the mark in less than three full seasons, posting 205, 483, and over 320 points during each season in Brookville.
In addition to the career milestone, Patterson led LIU Post with 26 points and 15 rebounds, posting her 11th double-double of the season. Senior

The Lions chipped away at the deficit to make it a two-possession game (19-15) at the first break. LIU Post scored another eight unanswered points during the first four minutes of the second quarter to take a double-digit lead (27-15). Doyle and redshirt-junior
Robyn Francis knocked down three-point baskets during the final five minutes of the half to help the Green and Gold extend the lead to 15 points (31-16) at the halftime break.
