WEST BABYLON, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference announced LIU Post graduate student
Sasha Patterson as the league's women's basketball Player of the Week after helping the Pioneers to a 2-0 mark in league play.
Patterson had an outstanding week, averaging 21.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game during wins at Molloy College and against Queens College. The Brooklyn native scored her 1,000th point at LIU Post during the win at Molloy when she tallied 26 points and hauled in 15 rebounds to lead LIU Post to a 64-56 road win. During the victory against Queens, Patterson netted 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season, the most among all ECC players.
Patterson and the Pioneers return to action on Thursday, Feb. 7 when they host the University of the District of Columbia at the Pratt Recreation Center at 5:00 p.m.
