EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The No. 6/8 LIU Post women's lacrosse team fell just short against No. 8/19 East Stroudsburg University Wednesday afternoon at Whitenight Field in a back-and-forth battle, 15-12.

Angela Deren had a team-high two assists while Mallery's six draw controls and five ground balls led the Pioneers in both categories. Six different Pioneers caused a turnover and freshman
Hailey Duchnowski contributed eight saves.
LIU Post out-shot the Warriors 32-30 and recorded more ground balls, 16-11.
The Warriors raced out to a 4-0 lead but the Pioneers struck back with 23:24 left in the half Deren found Brisotti for her fifth goal of the season. East Stroudsburg responded with another goal to take a 5-1 lead but LIU Post went on a 4-0 to run make it a tied game. Sherlock scored with 18:53 on the clock and Mallery scored her first goal of the game with 18:03 remaining in the half. Feldman scored back-to-back goals at 17:21 and 15:29 to make it a 5-5 game. Mallery gave LIU Post its first lead, 6-5, with 13:22 on the clock.
The Warriors took the lead again after scoring two goals but Brisotti scored with 8:02 left in the half to make it a 7-7 game. East Stroudsburg added three more goals before halftime and Sherlock scored with 4:36 on the clock which saw the Pioneers go into halftime trailing 10-8.
The second half continued as a back-and-forth battle as Brisotti scored the opening goal of the half with 27:49 remaining. The Warriors responded with a goal at 24:59 but Alvino made it an 11-10 game with 24:30 remaining and Mallery scored her third goal of the game with 21:55 on the clock to tie the game, 11-11.
East Stroudsburg proceeded to score three-straight goals to take a 14-11 lead but Sherlock's goal with 5:26 remaining made it a 14-12 game. The Warriors would score on more goal before time expired and hold on for win, 15-12.
