WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 9/15 LIU Post women's lacrosse team reached the 20-goal mark for the fourth time this season Thursday afternoon as the Pioneers defeated No. 21/18 Bentley University 20-9 at the Bentley Turf Field.

Brianna Feldman led the game in goals with seven while junior
Alyssa Mallery contributed six, junior
Paige Sherlock two and senior

Madeline Schaefer had one goal each. Mallery's 10 draw controls were a game-high, Schaefer recorded a game-high two assists while junior
Kendall Purdy tied for the game-high in ground balls with three. Freshman goalkeeper
Hailey Duchnowski finished with ten saves.
Feldman gave the Pioneers and early 2-0 advantage, scoring with 29:36 on the clock and again with 26:08 left in the half. Brisotti found the back of the cage with 23:02 remaining and Mallery scored her first goal of the contest at 22:20 to give the Pioneers a 4-0 lead.
Bentley bounced back to make it a 4-2 game with 20:28 left to play but sophomore
Jamie Alvino found Brisotti for a man up goal with 18:35 to boost the Pioneers' lead to 5-2. Sherlock and Mallery added goals a 17:05 and 14:31 as LIU Post took a 7-2 advantage.
The Pioneers responded to another Bentley goal with Sherlock's second goal of the game with 9:34 on the clock then Schaefer found Feldman for her third goal of the contest with 8:28 left in the half. The Greyhounds scored again at 8:10 but Mallery added her third of the game with 7:06 on the clock then Feldman followed with her fourth of the contest at 5:08 that put the Pioneers ahead, 11-4.
The Greyhounds scored two more goals before halftime but Mallery scored her fourth goal of the contest with 3:20 on the clock then assisted on a Sherlock goal inside the final minute, which saw LIU Post take a 13-6 advantage into halftime.
Feldman and Mallery continued the offensive onslaught in the second half; Feldman scored the first goal of the half with 28:30 left to play then Mallery added another goal to give the Pioneers a 15-6 lead with 23:13 left to play. Feldman would then score her sixth goal with 19:28 remaining then Schaefer added another Pioneer goal with 17:32 remaining to give the Pioneers an 18-6 lead. Schaefer then found von Hollen for a goal that gave LIU Post an 18-6 advantage but Bentley responded with back-to-back goals to make it an 18-8 game.
With 10:57 remaining, Feldman scored her sixth goal and gave the Pioneers a 19-8 lead and while Bentley was able to add one more goal, Mallery's goal with 5:49 to play saw the Pioneers win with a final score of 20-9.
