LIU Announces Under Armour Partnership

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Long Island University Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday that its unified athletics teams will enter into a five-year partnership with Under Armour as its official apparel supplier beginning in the 2019-20 academic year. The relationship will cover team uniforms, practice gear, footwear, equipment, and more.
 
In addition to working with Under Armour, LIU also announced that the partnership will be executed by BSN Sports. Teams entering the new partnership include baseball, women's basketball, women's bowling, cheerleading, men's and women's cross country, dance team, equestrian, women's fencing, football, field hockey, men's and women's golf, women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, rugby, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's swimming, women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, volleyball, women's water polo, and wrestling.
 
"This is an important step for our unified athletic department," said LIU Director of Athletics Debbie DeJong. "In order to feel like one LIU family, we must be united by our brand and we have accomplished this by partnering with one of the premiere sporting goods companies in the world. This partnership will allow for an enhanced student-athlete experience and will help us develop and enhance our brand as Long Island University."
 
In signing this deal, LIU will join the standout Under Armour roster of NCAA partners that includes the University of California, Los Angeles; the University of California, Berkeley; University of Wisconsin; University of Notre Dame; Naval Academy Athletic Association; University of Maryland; Texas Tech University; Northwestern University; University of Cincinnati; Boston College; University of Utah; University of South Carolina; Auburn University and Yale University.
