ABCA/RAWLINGS RELEASE

Joshua Loeschorn of the LIU Post baseball team added another recognition to his list of postseason honors Friday night after the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings named him First Team All-America.
The honor was Loeschorn's third All-America accolade, as he was named Second Team All-America by the Division II Collegiate Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Loeschorn amassed a lengthy postseason resume in 2019 as he was named the ABCA/Rawlings East Region Pitcher of the Year and to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region First Team. He was also named to the NCBWA All-East Region First Team and to the D2CCA All-East Region First Team. He was the East Coast Conference (ECC) Pitcher and Rookie of the Year along with being an ECC All-Conference First Team honoree.
With a 10-0-3 record including four complete games and two shutouts in 2019, Loeschorn produced some of the most impressive statistics in the country. His .74 WHIP leads the nation, his 1.34 ERA ranks second and his 5.47 hits allowed per nine innings is fifth. Loeschorn's 1.23 walks allowed per nine innings ranks 15th and his 6.09 strikeout-to-walk ratio is 20th.
