2018: Appeared in 26 games, making 15 starts … tallied nine hits and drove in11 runs … blasted a home run and drove in three runs during a victory against American International … ripped a double and drove in a run at Bentley … drove in a pair of runs to help lead the Pioneers past Le Moyne and Queens.
 
2017: Started all 53 games as a sophomore … hit .238 with 39 hits and 31 runs batted in  … recorded nine multi-hit games, including three hits during wins against Merrimack and Bridgeport … recorded two doubles during the win against the Warriors … hit a home run against Queens and Bridgeport … drove in two or more runs on six occasions … scored a pair of runs against Saint Rose.

2016: Appeared in 41 games (34 starts) … collected 24 hits in 96 at-bats (.250) for the Pioneers … was third on the team in home runs (3) … had the fourth-best slugging percentage on the team (.365) … added 18 RBIs to the Pioneer lineup … recorded a .991 fielding percentage … went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs in a 5-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas (Mar. 28) … batted 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in a 6-4 win against Southern New Hampshire (Apr. 10) … added a 2-for-3 game with a homer, two RBIs and a run scored against NYIT (Apr. 29).

Prior to LIU Post: Four-year varsity softball player at Island Trees High School ... three-time All-County selection ... 2014 All-Long Island First Team ... helped the Bulldogs to a Nassau County title in her sophomore season.

Personal: Has two sisters, Samantha and Jaylyn ... daughter of Heriberto and Sandra Melendez ... father, Herb, is an assistant softball coach at New York Institute of Technology ... enjoys volleyball ... her favorite athlete is Derek Jeter ... the person she admires most is her father ... aspires to be an assistant softball coach or a radiologist ... can speak two languages ... majoring in radiology.
