Kristen Foley enters her second season as the head coach of the LIU Post women's swimming team during the 2018-19 season.

Foley spent last season as assistant coach of the program under Mike Travers and was part of the program that saw four swimmers qualify for NCAA championships in 2016-17.

Prior to joining the LIU Post staff, Foley served as an assistant coach for the women’s swimming team at St. Joseph’s College (L.I.) for the 2015-16 season.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Foley has been an elite team coach with Team Suffolk since 2011, coaching junior national and national qualifiers as well as US Open qualifier and scorer.  Her primary duties include the planning and implementation of seasonal development programs. 
 
Additionally, she also held the position of head coach for the Northport High School boys varsity swim team where she recruited a first-year team and produced six All-County qualifiers and one All-State qualifier.

A 1998 graduate of Hunter College with a B.A. in Nutrition and Food Science, Foley currently resides in East Northport, N.Y.
