Carr joins the Pioneers after a year as an Athletic Communications Assistant at North Carolina State University and two years as a Graduate Assistant for Sports Information at North Central College.
At North Carolina State, Carr served as primary contact for gymnastics, men's & women's swimming & diving and women's tennis. He also served as a secondary contact for football, a primary stat crew operator at home volleyball matches and assisted on men's basketball game days.
He oversaw NC State's men's swimming & diving's ACC title and fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships where the Wolfpack won national titles in three relays and two individual events. Carr oversaw media relations and publicity for 2016 Olympic gold medalist Ryan Held of the men's swimming team as well as four other Olympians; Andreas Vazaios, Anton Ipsen, Tamila Holub and Soren Dahl.
Carr oversaw the Wolfpack gymnastics team's East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) championship and the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional Gymnastic Championship.
As part of his duties with football he assisted with media relations and publicity for seven NFL draft picks; Bradley Chubb, B.J. Hill, Justin Jones, Will Richardson, Jaylen Samuels, Nyheim Hines and Kentavius Street.
He also assisted with hosting the first two rounds of the 2018 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional Baseball Championship and the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional Golf Championship.
At North Central, Carr was primary contact for men's soccer, men's & women's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse. He also assisted on football game days and as a stat crew operator at home men's & women's basketball games and men's volleyball matches. Carr assisted with hosting the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Indoor Championships where the Cardinals won the national title.
Carr graduated with a Masters of Leadership Studies in Sports Leadership from North Central in 2017 and with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Clarke University in 2012.
He was a four-year scholarship member of the men's basketball team at Clarke University and played semi-professionally in the Australian Big V league from 2013-2015. He is a native of Melbourne, Australia.
