Amanda Tomaselli comes to Long Island University after two years as the Coordinator of Athletic Operations at the University of New Haven. She is primarily responsible for annual fund solicitation and stewardship for all LIU Athletics gifts. She will also assist in growing LIU Athletics Corporate Partner program.
 
In her first year as Coordinator of Athletic Operations at New Haven, Tomaselli coordinated all of the Pink Games for the fall sports, including the “Pink Out” football game that raised money for the Colleen Sorbello Research Lab and Pink Clover Foundation. She assisted the planning and execution of the 2018 NCAA Division II East Region Volleyball Tournament and 2018 NCAA Divsion II Second Round Football game. Tomaselli also established and ran the concession stand at all home men’s and women’s basketball games. She organized and ran the 2019 Hall of Fame which inducted eight athletes into the New Haven Hall of Fame. In addition, Tomaselli reconciles the department’s purchasing cards. 
 
Tomaselli was responsible for the smooth flow of all home athletic contests at UNH, including the management of game day staff, officials, concessions and security. In addition, Tomaselli provides support in organizing several banquets and special events including the Annual Charger Golf Classic, Hall of Fame, Student-Athlete Banquet and Charger Huddle. She also oversees all spirit groups, including cheer, dance, the pep band and the marching band.
 
Tomaselli completed her graduate degree at the University of New Haven in May 2018, earning her MBA while serving as the graduate assistant for Facilities and Internal Operations for a year. In that role, Tomaselli trained and supervised two interns, hired, managed and approved payroll for 30 student workers, and assisted in facility preparations for all athletic events. She assisted in the planning and execution of the 2017 NCAA Division II East Region Volleyball Tournament and the 2018 NCAA Division II East Region Baseball Tournament.

Prior to holding that position, Tomaselli was the Graduate Assistant for External and Business Affairs for six months where she assisted with partnership acquisitions of US Army, CT National Guard, Army ROTC and other local companies while assisting with event promotions.
 
Tomaselli graduated from the University of New Haven in December 2016, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Marketing. As an undergraduate student, Tomaselli was a student worker and assisted in the game day management of home athletic events.
