- The LIU Post men's and women's outdoor track and field teams returned to action Saturday at the 2017 TCNJ Invitational in Ewing.

Senior Stefan Adams (Jamaica, N.Y.) led the men's side with a winning time of 48.80 in the 400-meter dash. He also ran the anchor leg of the 4 x 100-meter relay, which placed fourth at 43.58.

Red-shirt junior Kyle Ward (Elizabeth, N.J.) tied for 13th and won his heat in the 400-dash, clocking a 51.79. Freshman Tomiichi Hayden (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) added a 57.89 in the event.

Sophomore Lance Edwards (Stratford, Conn.) finished seventh in his debut in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing at 11:03.70.

Sophomore Jermaine Ifill (Flushing, N.Y.) sprinted to a personal-record 23.14 in the 200-meter dash, while freshman Justin Ortega (Bay Shore, N.Y.) clocked a 16.39 in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Red-shirt freshman Angelo Fradelakis (Patchogue, N.Y.) and freshman Liam Hendricks (St. James, N.Y.) had lifetime-bests in the javelin (41.02 meters) and discus throw (41.35 meters), respectively.

For the women, freshman Kaitlyn Klein (Richmondville, N.Y.) broke the school record in the shot put with a third-place heave of 11.93 meters (39 feet, 1.75 inches). Her mark bested former standout Dora Daniels' toss of 11.86 meters (38 feet, 11 inches) in 2004.

Additionally, Klein came in second in the hammer throw with a heave of 35.36 meters (116 feet, 0 inches). Junior Kari Kyrkjeboe Fredheim (Nannestad, Norway) followed in seventh with a personal-best throw of 31.69 meters (104 feet, 0 inches).

Junior Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) won the 3,000-meter run in 10:18.96 and finished less than two seconds shy of the school record. Graduate Elizabeth Stirling (Wantagh, N.Y.) came in second in the 3,000 at 10:41.91.

Freshmen Alexandria Okon (Laurel, Md.) and Nicolette Agostinacchio (Wantagh, N.Y.) had respective fourth- and sixth-place finishes in the 800-meter run, clocking times of 2:23.32 and 2:23.93.

Lastly, freshman Nicole Costanzo (Nesconset, N.Y.) eclipsed a fourth-place height of 1.50 meters (4 feet, 11 inches) in the high jump for the Pioneers.

Head Coach Kevin Buckley and his LIU Post squad are back at it next weekend (Apr. 14-15), when they compete at the Metropolitan Championships at Rutgers University in Piscataway.
