Women's Tennis Knocks Off Molloy, 7-2
Box ScoreWEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2014) - The LIU Post women's tennis team earned its third-straight win, and fifth in its last six Friday in a 7-2 victory over Molloy at the Hempstead Lake Tennis Courts.
Juniors
Didi Fatchikova (Sofia, Bulgaria) and
Lucie Chrastecka (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic) continue to boast undefeated singles marks through the 2014 campaign. Fatchikova defeated the Lions' (1-10, 1-5 ECC) Tatiana Rajaona, 6-2, 6-2, in top-flight singles, while Chrastecka blanked Danielle Bloecker, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 2 position. The pair teamed up to win their doubles match, 8-2.
Sophomores
Heena Kewalramani (Bangkok, Thailand) and
Laura Harwell (Alabaster, Ala.) both won their singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, and worked together to take the No. 2 doubles flight, 8-0. Freshman
Meagan Byrne (Deer Park, N.Y.) upended Tiffany Nagasawa at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-3, to cap off the green and gold's scoring.

Darrel Bielawski and the Pioneers (7-2, 5-1 ECC) are back in action Saturday (Oct. 18), when they face East Coast Conference opponent Queens in Flushing, N.Y. First serve is set for noon.
