ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Dec. 11, 2014) - Highlighted by an Offensive Player of the Year selection for
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.), Synapse Sports gave out its 2014 postseason awards on Thursday. Margiotta and
Dani Crouse (Westville, South Africa) collected All-America first-team honors, while
Lyn-Marie Wilson (Bridgetown, Barbados) secured a spot on the second-team.
The Northeast-10 Player of the Year, Margiotta assisted in LIU Post's return to the NCAA title game, capturing the NE-10 regular-season crown along the way. The junior forward was the only player in all of Division II to amass more than 30 goals on the year (33). Margiotta, who averaged an impressive 3.73 points per game, also dished out 16 assists, en route to scoring a prolific 82 points in 2014.
Crouse, the Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year, commanded a strong Pioneer back line that limited opponents to just 24 goals on the season (seven shutouts). She also aided the LIU Post attack with nine goals and eight assists.
Wilson, an All-NE-10 first-team honoree, recorded 13 goals and 12 assists for a 38-point output, whereas
Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.), a Synapse Sports All-Rookie selection, tallied 11 goals and five assists for 27 points.
