(Dec. 3, 2014) - On Wednesday, LIU Post women's soccer junior forward Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) landed a spot on the 2014 Daktronics Division II All-America first-team, while sophomore back Kristin Brandman (East Northport, N.Y.) received second-team praise.Last month, Vistnes, a back-to-back NSCAA All-America third-team choice (2012 & 2013), was named the 2014 Daktronics Division II East Region Player of the Year,.Vistnes, a three-time East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year honoree and All-ECC first-team selection, aided the Pioneers in winning the 2014 East Coast Conference regular-season title, and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship. She tallied 19 goals and 11 assists for a 49-point output.Brandman, the 2014 ECC Defensive Player of the Year, earns All-America honors for the first time in her collegiate career. She paved the way for an LIU Post defense that allowed 0.72 goals against this season, good enough for 41st in the country.
