KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Dec. 9, 2014) - The LIU Post women's soccer team finished the 2014 campaign ranked at No. 22 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II Poll, released Tuesday. 

The Pioneers, who were slotted at No. 14 last month, rounded out the season with an overall record of 15-3-1 and an 8-0-1 mark in East Coast Conference play.

The magical run for the green and gold came to an end in the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship, where they lost a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime decision to Saint Rose.

The three-time ECC Offensive Player of the Year, Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway), and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Kristin Brandman (East Northport, N.Y.) received NSCAA All-East Region first-team honors for their efforts. Vistnes was also tabbed as an NSCAA Third-Team All-American.
