CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Jan. 28, 2016) - On Thursday, Perfect Game USA released its Top-40 list of NCAA Division II draft prospects, and LIU Post baseball junior pitcher Dan Jagiello (West Islip, N.Y.) was ranked third.

Jagiello, who is an overall Perfect Game Top-150 draft prospect, went 5-3 last season with a save. The hard-throwing righty posted a 3.75 ERA and struck out a team-best 61 hitters in 57.1 innings.

The West Islip native made a splash this summer, when hit lit up the radar gun at the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League's All-Star Game, reaching 96 miles per hour. That showing earned him an invite to finish the summer with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League, where he appeared in three games. He allowed one hit and one earned run, while striking out six in 3.2 innings. 

Jagiello and the Pioneers open the 2016 campaign down in Gaffney, S.C., where they will take on Limestone College from Feb. 13-14.
