Field Hockey Ranked No. 7 in Latest NFHCA Top-10 Poll

CHANDLER, Ariz. (Oct. 18, 2016) - Following a 1-1 week, the LIU Post field hockey team slipped to No. 7 in Tuesday's Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Poll.

The Pioneers opened the week with a 4-3 overtime loss to Southern Connecticut last Tuesday (Oct. 11), before earning a 3-0 win at Saint Michael's on Saturday (Oct. 15).

Junior midfielder Alyssa Lopresti (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tallied four goals in the two contests for LIU Post, including a three-goal performance at Saint Michael's.

Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg continued to occupy the No. 1 and No. 2 rankings in the poll, respectively. Saint Anselm climbed three spots to No. 3. Millersville and Stonehill each fell one notch to round out the Top-5.

Head Coach Raenee Savin and the Pioneers are back in action Wednesday (Oct. 19), when they face Pace University in a Northeast-10 Conference tilt at 4 p.m. in Pleasantville, N.Y.
