CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 31, 2016) - The East Coast Conference gave out its year-end awards for women's tennis Monday, and LIU Post sophomores
Lara Scholtze (Bad Homburg, Germany) and
Shanice Arthur (Brookville, N.Y.) were both selected to the All-ECC First Team.
Scholtze had a stellar debut in a Pioneer uniform, sporting a near-flawless 10-1 record in singles, including a 6-0 ledger at the No. 1 flight. She was also a perfect 7-0 in league play, and twice earned ECC Player of the Week accolades.
Additionally, Scholtze paired up with freshman
Charlotte Hynes (Weston, Fla.) to compile an impressive 10-2 mark in doubles, which ranked fifth-best amongst the league's top doubles tandems.
Meanwhile, Arthur, who was named the ECC Rookie of the Year in 2015, went 6-2 in singles matches this season. She owned an unblemished and ECC-leading 5-0 record at the No. 2 position.

Stanislava Klymova (Dnipro, Ukraine) compiled the ECC's second-winningest mark at the top flight, boasting a 6-2 clip.
