BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 16, 2016) - After an impressive outing last week against Nyack College, LIU Post baseball junior pitcher Jake DeCarli (Higganum, Conn.) was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday.

DeCarli tossed a complete game and allowed just four hits and one earned run against the Warriors last week. The righty struck out 12 to earn his first win of the season.

Earlier this week, the junior was named the East Coast Conference's Pitcher of the Week for his efforts.

LIU Post is back in action on Thursday (Mar. 17), when it hosts Bloomfield College in a non-conference tilt in Brookville. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
