Pioneers Ranked 25th in Latest Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 31, 2016) - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics put out its updated standings for the 2015-16 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup on Thursday, and LIU Post found itself at No. 25 after the winter season.

The Pioneers, who now boast a total of 250.50 points, were awarded 70.5 points on the heels of an eighth-place finish for women's swimming at the NCAA Division II Championships.

LIU Post also received 32 points in wrestling, as sophomore 133-lb. grappler Joe Calderone (Huntington Station, N.Y.) earned his second-consecutive at-large bid to nationals.

In all, the green and gold amassed 148 points in the winter campaign, a 45.5-point boost from the fall.

Furthermore, the Pioneers topped all East Coast Conference programs in the recent standings, and were second in the East Region, trailing only Stonehill College, which stands 20th with 269.50 points.
