Kirk Receives ILWomen Division II Goalkeeper of the Year Praise

BALTIMORE, Md. (Jun. 17, 2016) - On Friday, LIU Post women's lacrosse sophomore goalie Olivia Kirk (Farmingdale, N.Y.) added to her postseason award list in 2016, earning Inside Lacrosse Women Division II Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Kirk, who was previously named the East Coast Conference and IWLCA Division II Goalie of the Year and ECAC Division II Defensive Player of the Year, boasted a 17-4 record with a 4.50 goals-against average and .580 save percentage.

Kirk led the country in save percentage and had the nation's second-best goals-against average, while also pacing the ECC in both categories. Additionally, she led all cageminders in the league in wins and fewest goals allowed (87).

Kirk, an IWLCA All-North Region and All-America first-team selection, tied her single-game career-high for saves on Mar. 12 with a 12-save performance against then-No. 4 University of New Haven in Melbourne, Fla.
