GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Juniors
Alyssa Mallery and
Brianna Feldman of the LIU Post women's lacrosse team were honored as All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Tuesday afternoon.
Mallery, who was a second team honoree, and Feldman who was named to the third team, both earned All-America honors for the second time in their careers.
Mallery, who was also named IWLCA All-East Region First Team and East Coast Conference (ECC) All-Conference First Team, finished second in the conference in goals with 83 and second in draw controls with 118. Her 90 points ranked third and her 52 ground balls fourth. She also led the conference in free position shots after going 30-of-48. Mallery tallied the 200th point of her career in the Pioneers' 19-12 victory over the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday, April 30 2019 in the opening round of the ECC Tournament.
Feldman was also an IWLCA All-East Region First Team and ECC All-Conference First Team honoree and tallied 67 goals during the season, the fourth-highest in the conference. Her 79 points were fifth and her 12 assists ranked eighteenth. She recorded her 100th career goal in LIU Post's 21-20 victory over the University of New Haven on Tuesday, April 16.
