ECC Reveals Establishment of Conference Hall of Fame

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Aug. 17, 2016) - On Wednesday, East Coast Conference Commissioner Dr. Robert Dranoff announced the establishment of the ECC Hall of Fame. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor those who have made significant contributions to the conference, while also preserving the league's history.

"The East Coast Conference, and its predecessor, the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, have served as a host to some amazing student-athletes, teams, coaches and administrators over the years," said Dranoff. "With the creation of our ECC Hall of Fame, we will have the opportunity to recognize those who have accomplished so much through athletics and through contributions to their campus and community."

Dranoff later added: "We are excited to begin the nomination process and look forward to our inaugural celebration of the first ECC Hall of Fame class next spring."

Nominations for the conference's inaugural Hall of Fame class are open to the general public and can be submitted via the linked form below. The deadline to submit a nomination is October 1.

Inductees to the Hall of Fame will be categorized into five groups; student-athlete, coach, administrator/official/supervisor, general contributor and special achievement. Criteria to be eligible for nomination for each category can be found on the conference's nomination form.

A Hall of Fame committee, comprised of representatives from each ECC member institution, will review the nominations and select each Hall of Fame class. The first induction ceremony will be held in the Spring of 2017.
