Miller Named NE-10 Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (Sept. 12, 2016) - On Monday, LIU Post field hockey sophomore forward/midfielder Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) was recognized as the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.

Miller scored three goals last Wednesday (Sept. 7) in a 5-2 upset of third-ranked West Chester. Two of those tallies occurred in a span of 1:51 in the first half to stake the Pioneers to a 2-0 advantage.

Miller has four goals to her credit this year, which is just one shy of her total from 2015. She currently ranks second in the NE-10 in goals and points (8), and leads the league in game-winners (2).

Miller and the Pioneers are back in action today, as they face top-ranked East Stroudsburg University in a non-conference tilt at 4 p.m. in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
