BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The LIU Post volleyball team picked up its 11th-consecutive victory as it downed non-conference foe Le Moyne, 3-1 (25-14, 25-16, 19-25, 25-14), on Sunday afternoon at the Pratt Recreation Center.

Rachel Londot led the way in the first set, notching six kills on 11 total attacks for a .545 attack percentage. The Pioneers (20-3) closed out the opener with back-to-back kills by freshman

The second set was more of the same as the green and gold commanded the stanza for its entirety. With the score 17-12 in favor of LIU Post, the home squad rattled off five-straight points to pull ahead by 10. Once again, the Pioneers were able to secure the final two points of the set, this time on a Londot kill followed by a service ace by sophomore setter
Kassie Akouri-Tejedor.
After dropping the third set by a score of 25-19, LIU Post battled back to an overwhelming 25-14 victory in the fourth and final set. The Pioneers led 19-14 before closing out the match on a 6-0 run highlighted by kills by Londot, Bendy, and senior outside hitter
Danielle Valenza.
Londot was one of three Pioneers to finish with a double-double, as she notched 19 kills and 10 digs. Setters
Giulia Genna and Akouri-Tejedor added assists/digs double-doubles with 15/14 and 22/14, respectively. Freshman middle hitter
Asiya Way added nine kills for an astounding .600 hitting percentage. Senior libero
Indira Rojas scooped up a game-high 20 digs.
The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday (Oct. 17) when they head to Flushing, N.Y. for a 7 p.m. matchup at Queens College.
