Newark, DE| Facing a four-point deficit, the LIU Post women's basketball team outscored Wilmington University 21-10 in the third quarter to take a 87-69 triumph on Saturday afternoon. Senior Sasha Patterson led three Pioneers in double figures with a game-high 27 points while sophomore Mikaiya Moore recorded 18 points and seven rebounds.

Turning Point
· A 19-0 Pioneers run spanning third and fourth quarters gave LIU Post a 67-53 lead which they wouldn't relinquish.
Naya Williams converted a pair of free throws to go up by double digits (64-53) to solidify the Pioneers victory.
How it Happened
· Neither team could build more than a six-point cushion over a first half that featured two ties and one lead change but the hosts clung to a 43-39 lead at the intermission.
· The Wildcats secured their largest lead of the second half with a made layup for the six-point lead (51-45) with 5:43 to play in the third quarter.
· Facing their largest deficit of the game, the Pioneers closed the third period outscoring the hosts 12-0, powered by eight points from Patterson and LIU Post entered the
final frame with a seven-point lead (60-53).
· The Pioneers continued to wield the hot hand and opened the fourth with a 7-0 run to set the stage for a 27-point frame to seal the 87-69 lead.
