GRAND LAKE, Colo. (Mar. 13, 2017) - For the third-straight week, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team maintained its No. 4 ranking in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Monday.
The Pioneers, who also moved up to No. 6 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine tally, are off to a 3-1 start in the 2017 campaign.
Most recently, the green and gold earned a 10-5 win at then-No. 19 Stonehill on Sunday (Mar. 12) in Easton, Mass.
Senior attacker
Connor Bird (Syosset, N.Y.) led the offensive charge for the Pioneers with a pair of goals. She also won three draw controls and forced two turnovers in the victory.
Between the pipes, junior goaltender
Olivia Kirk (Farmingdale, N.Y.) made a game- and season-high 11 saves. It was her first double-digit save performance since Mar. 12, 2016 (12 vs. New Haven).
Adelphi led the poll for the third-consecutive week, totaling 399 points and 19 first-place votes. Lindenwood (376 points) and Le Moyne (364 points) followed at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Meghan McNamara and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday (Mar. 15), when they face American International College in a non-conference tilt at 3:30 p.m. in Springfield, Mass.
