CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 11, 2017) - For the second time this year, freshman midfielder Alyssa Mallery (Wantagh, N.Y.) of the LIU Post women's lacrosse team was selected as the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Mallery scored a game-high-tying four goals and led all players with six draw controls Sunday (Apr. 9) in a 17-3 rout of Roberts Wesleyan.

Through nine games, Mallery has collected 15 goals and four assists for 19 points. She also ranks in the Top-10 in the ECC in draw controls with 28.

Mallery and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday (Apr. 12), when they face ECC rival Queens College at 4 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville.
