Vaglica Named Most Valuable Player of 2017 PGCBL All-Star Game

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (Jul. 25, 2017) - Last week, LIU Post baseball standout Anthony Vaglica (Franklin Square, N.Y.) was tabbed as the Most Valuable Player of the 2017 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game.

Vaglica, who plays for the Glens Falls Dragons, went 2-for-2 and drove in three RBIs to lead the East Division All-Stars to a 10-8 victory at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam.

Vaglica shined in his debut season with the Pioneers, garnering All-East Coast Conference second-team honors. He had the fourth-most home runs (7) and runs batted in (41) of any player in the league.

Additionally, Vaglica propelled the green and gold to its first ECC Championship since 2010 with a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh in an eventual 9-7 victory over Molloy in the title game.
