Brookville, N.Y. - The venue might have changed, but the result didn't change as the Pioneers won their fourth consecutive match to open their 2017-18 campaign. LIU Post Women's Tennis managed to escape their first road test of the year with a win by a score of 5-4.
 
First doubles pairing of Senior Lara Scholtze (Bad Homburg, Germany) and freshman Veronika Koudelkova (Brno, Czech Republic) were tested as they won 8-5. Juniors Shanice Arthur (Jericho, N.Y.) and Stanislava Klymova (Dnipro, Ukraine) took care of business again, winning 8-3 for the second time this weekend.
 
The singles matches were split between the two ECC programs, 3-3. Scholtze proved her might again at first singles (6-3, 6-3). At the second singles positon Arthur won in straight sets (6-4, 6-3). Koudelkova continued her strong freshman campaign breezing through her match (6-3, 6-0). With the singles matches split between the two ECC programs 3-3, the Pioneers were able to walk away with the win, 5-4.

Head Coach Walter Giacometti and the LIU Post Women's Tennis program come back home to play their final non-conference match of the fall slate as they take on Concordia on Friday, October 6^th, 2017 at 3 PM.
