BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - For the fourth-consecutive week, senior Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) of the LIU Post women's cross country team led the pack, finishing top overall at the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday morning.

The Pioneer women lost a close one to ECC-rival Molloy.  The green and gold fell short by a 35-39 tally. The second-place finish left ECC teams NYIT and Bridgeport in their wake.  Williams was an easy race winner (17:26.85) over the newly designed 5k course. Nicolette Agostinacchio (20:40.88) was an overall 6th, with Alexandria Okon (21:18.58) and Kaitie Schillaci (21:34.52) placing in the top-10. Kathryn Elnick (22:47.15) rounded out the scoring.

On the men's side, Molloy captured the contest with a quality score of only 22 points. NYIT edged out the Pioneers by a scant point, 55-56 for second place. Lance Edwards (9th)(25:16.69) and Joe Dorso (10th)(25:25.45) led the way for the Pioneer harriers over the newly designed 4.25 mile course. Erick Rivera (25:39.79), John Maher (26:04.62) and Andrew Gleave (26:27.59) completed the scoring.

The next event on the schedule is the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, October 13, at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
